Housing for the elderly was also an urgent subject of study in other European countries immediately after the war. This document is a translation of a 1946 report compiled in Norway about pensioners’ housing. It deals specifically with how housing for the elderly should be situated, built, furnished and maintained. The report calls for the establishment of uniform guidelines for furnishing retirement homes so that funds can be allotted in an efficient manner. The report was translated into Dutch because it was relevant to the situation in the Netherlands.
